New Orleans Photos - Buildings

This is going to be a long one.  There were SO many cool buildings (mostly houses or at least one-time houses, but also some other types of buildings).

Let's start with the building we stayed in, shall we?  It's a large-ish building that may have originated as a two-unit building, judging by others in the area, but is now divided into (I think) four apartments.  It was in a great location, only a couple blocks from Frenchmen Street and a few more from the French Quarter.

When we pulled up to the garage, I asked if the rest of us should get out first or if we'd be able to get out once inside.  Eric said it wasn't an ordinary garage, and it wouldn't be a problem.  Sure enough, it's a garage door that leads inside a fenced yard, and guests just park on the lawn inside the yard.  Heh.

And now, in random order, other buildings we saw, both day and night:

The back of the St. Louis Cathedral has this statue spotlit in such a way that it casts a very big shadow
